A few weeks back i went for the first time to a cybercafe to play cs,
besides crappy controls and low resolutions i ended up been surrounded by 12-13 year old kids playing CS aswell ...
shouting and screaming every time they got killed or killed someone...it was madness , NEVER AGAIN will i go to a cybercafe!

My point of telling this is im simply very annoyed at anyone below 15 playing this game , there usualy the ones screaming hax or noob all the time on servers.
So for you saying your 15 and played this game for 4 years , you had no bussnes playing this game the past 4 years, only now are you old enuf to play it.

Im 28 btw , and i been playing cs for almost 5 years

WEll buddy im 13 and i dont act like that when i play cs and i have been playing for almost 2 years now you cant say that all people under 15 annoying while playing CS

oh come on, 14 yr olds who have been playing since they were 10. 13 yr olds who refer to theirselves as "oldsql0r". thats all ****in BS.

im 18 and i play for about 3 years now. and if there is one thing that i really hate, its ppl under 16, who think they are the "1337357 of teh 1337357". children at the age of 10 dont even know how to write words "COUNTER-STRIKE" nor do they know what it means. and you wanna tell me that you already started playing CS ??

come on, get a ****in life !!! its really poor.

Not all are like that.

I'm 28

I think the average age depends on the country you are from.

In countries where Internet access, especially broadband is very expensive, players tend to be at least in their twenties because they have jobs and can pay for access that kids cannot extort from their parents.

In countries where Internet access is cheap and most households have broadband the average age drops because kids have more time on their hands.

The real question though, should be, what is the average age of users on this forum because almost every thread turns into a juvenile flame war.

Well, I am 26 and have been playing for about 3 weeks lol - so I guess since 1.6. You never know one day I might be able to say that and sound good!

I have to admit though I have found the CS hype a little over rated (braces for a flaming). After hearing about it time after time after time I purchased Half Life and downloaded all the juicy Steam extras. After playing CS for a few weeks I just dont think it is up to its own reputation, well not any more anyhow.

I think Counter Strike : Source is desperatly needed - for me anyhow - for the game to be worth taking time out from other games to play.

Daniel

I think you have started playing at the wrong time. CS has been in a kind of transition phase for a year or more now. Before 1.4 it was a spectacular game with a brilliant community but recently has been plagued by cheats and horrible mods. The basic premise of the game though is timeless and I think CS:S will for a time return the CS community to the good old days.

Stick with it, CS is a keeper, I look forward to hearing my kids whinge that CS4 is no where near as good as CS3.8 was.

I think that more mature players get much more out of the game in terms of friendship and such like. Young teens will never get that they are just too immature, well most of them anyway.

Every young teen I see playing counter-strike is extremely annoying.
Thats why many clans have a age restriction.
