I don't remember my account name

In many cases, your steam account name will be the same as your email address. In addition to trying your current email address, try using any old email addresses that you might have used when you created your account.

If you're still unable to remember your account name, Steam may be able to retrieve it for you. If you can remember the email address that you used when you created the account or a CD key that you registered with the account, Steam can mail you your account name:

1. From the login screen, press the "Retrieve a lost account..." button

2. Select "I don't know my account name" and press "Next"

3. Select the appropriate option from the next screen, and press "Next"

4. Enter the appropriate information (either your email address or your CD key), and press "Next"

Steam will now email you your account name. It may take up to 20 minutes for the mail to arrive.

If you don't remember either the email address you used to create the account or a CD key registered with the account, we are unable to retrieve your account.
