I know my account name, but I don't remember my password

If you've lost your password, Steam can help you retrieve it.

1. From the login screen, press the "Retrieve a lost account..." button

2. Select "I know my account name" and press "Next"

3. Enter your account name and press "Next"

4. Steam will now email you a verification code and the secret question that you selected when you created your account. It may take up to 20 minutes for this mail to arrive.

5. When you get the email, enter the verification code and the ANSWER to the secret question.

If you can't remember the answer to your secret question, or if you no longer have access to the email address associated with your account, we are unable to unlock your account.

• I'm unable to unlock my account, but my CD key is registered to the account. Is there any way I can get it back?
